Again this year, we will be setting our School Council executive membership for the coming school year at the June meeting rather than in September. Further information about membership positions with School Council and the nomination and voting process will come out later in May.
We are hoping to continue to build School Council and have as many interested parents involved as possible. Please join us at this important meeting - June 5th at 6:30 PM in the library.

Our Work with Scientists
Thanks to funds raised by Victoria Cross families, this year we have been able to have the Scientist in School program for every classroom. This is a valuable half day workshop where students have the opportunity to be involved with science in a “hands-on” way. Many classes have had their “scientist visitor” already, with more to come over the next several weeks.

Happy New Year!
Welcome to 2012! It’s great to have the students back from what we hope was a restful and enjoyable time with family. We are still searching for winter and the typical accumulation of snow. In anticipation of such weather, we need to review a number of safety issues over and above our typical concerns. We want our students to continue to be as safe as possible. Please go over the list in the newsletter and share it with your children.
