Tuesday, May 8, 2012
Ottawa Crescent Public School

On Tuesday, May 8 come out and view your child’s art work from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Then at 7:00 p.m., our guest speaker Mr. Chris D’Souza will speak to the adults. During this time children can go to either a movie in one of the classrooms, or a playroom.

Mr. D’Souza will be sharing his perspective of education and his life experiences. His talk will allow us to take a look at the social and cultural barriers our children have to face. Through his stories, will we be engaged in learning about how we can support all students in establishing a healthy self-esteem and getting along with others.

Free childcare is available. Please contact Ange Tomblin at atomblin@rogers.com to let her know the number of children who will be requiring care in either the movie room or playroom.

May is one of the busiest months of the school year. In addition to regular classroom teaching, May brings trips, a bicycle rodeo, Scientists in School, track and field and much more!

Thank you to the many parents, grandparents and relatives and friends who volunteer at Ottawa Crescent. Your help in the library, classrooms on class trips and in many other areas of our school programs is greatly appreciated.

Warmer weather is finally here and all the outdoor activities that come with it. We hope that you are able to enjoy all this season has to offer.

We would like to introduce Ms. Anderson to our teaching staff. Ms. Anderson is our new Core French and planning teacher.
The third term tends to go the fastest. Let's all work to make this the best term of the year!
