HOUSE OF COMMONS PAGE PROGRAM

Deadline for submitting applications is Monday December 7/09
Pages are contracted to work at the House of Commons for one year beginning in late August. They will work a minimum of 15 hours a week and their work schedule is coordinated with their university schedule.
All Candidates Must - be graduating this year and beginning University studies in September 2010; have an overall academic average of at least 80%; have a superior knowledge of both official languages; apply to and attend a university in the National Capital Region.
ZONTA SCHOLARSHIP
This year's application for the Young Women in Public Affairs award is available on the Zonta Club of Guelph website (www.zontaguelph.ca).
The award is for $1000 at the club level, $1000 at the district level and $3000 at the international level.
Young women from the Guelph-Wellington area age 16-20 and pre-university or pre-college are eligible to apply.
Applicants should be able to show evidence of:
- active commitment to volunteerism
- volunteer leadership achievements
- international awareness
- dedication to advancing the status of women worldwide
Zonta Club
This year's application for the Young Women in Public Affairs award is

(www.zontaguelph.ca). The award this year is for $1000 at the club
level, $1000 at the district level and $3000 at the international
level. As you may recall, Anita Acai (John Ross) was last year's club
winner. Young women from the Guelph-Wellington area age 16-20 and
pre-university or pre-college are eligible to apply. We are looking
for young women who demonstrate the following:
Evidence of active commitment to volunteerism.
Evidence of volunteer leadership achievements.
Evidence of international awareness
Evidence of dedication to advancing the status of women worldwide
We find that Z-Club members make excellent candidates for this award
as they demonstrate the above attributes; however, the award is open
to all female students at your school who meet the above criteria.
Applications are due by February 1, 2010. Full

Canadian Future Achievers Awards
Canadian Future Achievers provides Awards to encourage and empower 9-16 years old minority youth who maintain at the minimum a "B" average and are involved in extra-curricula activities as role models at their schools.
Present focus is on students of Caribbean origins.
CANADIAN FUTURE ACHIEVERS IS AT THIS POINT INVITING PRINCIPALS TO NOMINATE STUDENTS OF CARIBBEAN ORIGINS WHO QUALIFY FOR THE CFA AWARDS.
