Business Challenge

Senior Business students from Centennial participated in the Guelph High School Business Challenge on Friday, November 4.

The day began with a keynote address from Mr. Chris Cheng, a VP at iBrokerPower Capital Inc. who spoke about NOW – No Opportunity Wasted.

Following the format of the TV show Dragon’s Den, teams of students from high schools in Guelph and Orangeville were asked to develop a business that targeted baby boomers.  TD Canada Trust Bank Managers acted as the ‘dragons’ and listened to the wide variety of ideas – from retirement magazines to telephone apps for boomers.  Congratulations to Kritta’s team with the winning idea – AccuPro, a golf ball with a GPS.
