ATTENTION ALL GRADE 11 AND 12 STUDENTS INTERESTED IN ENGINEERING

WHAT? the fourth annual High School Engineering Conference , funded by the University of Guelph and School of Engineering
WHEN? November 12-15, 2009
WHERE? The conference is a four-day, three-night opportunity for grade 11 and 12 students from across Ontario to come to Guelph and experience university life.
WHY? There will be seminars on Guelph's engineering disciplines, a lecture sit-in, activities with campus clubs, a campus tour, design competition and of course social aspects - all inclusive* (activities, mementos, accommodations and meals) at only $100 per student!~
HOW? All registrations must be received in the mail by October 23.~ Information regarding the conference can be found on on the School of Engineering's website at University ofGuelph.

Apprenticeship Information Night, to be held at Our Lady of Lourdes CHS on Thurs. Nov 26th at 6:30 p.m.

There will be valuable information provided that will be of interest to parents, students and teachers..... and refreshments will be served!

The instruction sheets for "How to Apply On-line to College" are now available in the guidance office. You can pick up these blue sheets and apply to college NOW.

NOVEMBER 20TH IS THE LAST DAY TO DROP A COURSE WITHOUT IT APPEARING ON YOUR OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT!

BEFORE DROPPING A COURSE YOU MUST:

1. CONSULT WITH THE TEACHER
2. DISCUSS THE ISSUE WITH A COUNSELLOR
3. TAKE YELLOW DROP FORM & TEXT TO
TEACHER. GET STAFF SIGNATURE.
4. IF UNDER 18, GET PARENT SIGNATURE
ON YELLOW DROP FORM
5. RETURN FORM TO GUIDANCE WITH ALL NECESSARY SIGNATURES BEFORE 4 PM ON NOVEMBER 20T
