Principal's Message
Alma School staff continue to collaborate and learn together to help all of our students succeed! We are now into our 3rd learning cycle with a focus on researched-based math problem solving and reasoning. Last week’s PD Day was an opportunity for educators to share effective learning strategies, look at how Differentiated Instruction can reach all students, and use data to guide next steps; focussing on student achievement and school improvement.
We continue to appreciate and applaud parents who consistently teach and guide their child(ren), positively supporting them in their academic and social growth. Research shows that parents who work positively with their children between home and school have a much greater influence on their child(ren)’s confidence level, self esteem, and overall success!
While some of our many volunteers who help here at the school on a regular basis were not able to come to our recent Volunteer Tea, we want all volunteers to know you are very much appreciated! A little thank you gift should have arrived (or will arrive) home to you with your child if you were not able to come into the school the morning of our Volunteer Tea.
